We are looking for Application support!!

Company: One of Asia’s largest asset managers, with 224.0bn USD* under management, providing high-conviction, active fund management across a range of Equity, Fixed Income and Multi-Asset strategies. In addition, our complementary range of passive strategies covers more than 20 indices and includes some of Asia’s largest exchange-traded funds (ETFs). 

Department responsibility

1. Maintenance/support of existing applications and systems
2. Application/Batch Development
3. Business Analysis and Design
 
Role/ responsibility
1. Support of existing applications and systems.
2. Work closely with business users and other staff.
3. Write test cases and test existing/new applications.
4. Create Requirement documents, Specification documents, training documents, user manuals, etc for
applications.
5. Develop and maintain source code for applications.
 
Technical skills/ requirements 
  • Skilled with at least one programming language C# or Java or VB or PHP.
  • Hands-on SQL or PLSQL skills.
  • Working knowledge of either SQL Server or MySQL.
  • Expertise in CSS and JavaScript. (nice to have)
  • Hands-on SAS, Python skills (nice to have)
  • Expertise in using IIS, Apache, Nginx, etc web servers (nice to have)
  • Knowledge of ORM, MVC and similar such frameworks (nice to have)
  • Knowledge of Bootstrap, Angular, JQuery, handlebars, etc will be an added advantage. (nice to have)

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of application development experience.
  • Experience with support of finance applications
  • Experience working with Windows as well as Linux systems (nice to have)
  • Experience building scalable applications from scratch (nice to have)
  • Bachelor Degree (preferable computer science) (not must)
  • Japanese: Native or Business level (Mandatory)/ English: Business level (Preferable)

Charcteristics

  • Ready to learn business processes, new programming languages, frameworks, etc.
  • Ability to work well in matrix teams as well as independently.
  • Should be quality oriented.
