Position Overview
- Bridge Business & Tech in a Global Setting: This role offers a unique opportunity to act as the crucial liaison between Japanese business teams and global technical development teams. You'll be instrumental in translating complex business needs into actionable technical specifications, directly impacting project success within a global insurance company.
- Lead & Oversee Offshore Development: Take charge of project planning, communication, and management for offshore development teams. This position empowers you to oversee project execution, ensure timely delivery, and maintain high-quality standards, providing significant leadership and project management experience.

Key Responsibilities
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with Japanese business teams to understand
their needs and specifications. Document and communicate these requirements
clearly to the technical development team.
• Translation of Requirements: Act as a liaison between the business and technical
teams, ensuring that business requirements are accurately translated into technical
specifications.
• Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans based on the gathered business
requirements. Define project scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
• Communication: Explain project details and requirements to the offshore
development team, ensuring they have a clear understanding of objectives and
tasks.
• Management: Oversee the work of offshore developers, ensuring that projects are
completed on time and within budget. Monitor progress, provide feedback, and
implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that the deliverables meet the business requirements
and maintain high standards of quality.
• Reporting: Provide regular updates and progress reports to stakeholders. Highlight
any risks or issues and propose solutions to address them.
• Create User Stories: Develop user stories and drive the activities during regular
sprint meetings.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems,
Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a
similar role within the insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of business requirements gathering and documentation.
• Proficiency in translating business needs into technical specifications.
• Excellent project planning and management skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage and oversee the work of offshore development teams.
• Fluent in both English and Japanese, with strong cultural awareness.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certification: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar certification
is a plus.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with software development methodologies and
tools.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in the insurance industry and understanding of its
processes and regulations.
