We are looking for a bilingual (JLPT N2) L2 Application Support Engineer with experience in technical operations, working with REST API’s, SMPP 3.4/5.0 and log file analyzing.Our client is an international IT company based in Futakotamagawa, Tokyo.
Details of job:
- The role will involve providing technical support for the CPaaS platform, both in response to client support issues that have been escalated from the NOC (Network operation Center) or Global Service Desk, and to support the internal team in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the platform.
- This will involve analyzing log file, querying data stored in the system, performing packet captures and traces on the network, writing ad hoc scripts to perform data repair or to analyze existing data to help determine the root cause of the issue and collaborate with and escalate to engineering to come up with a solution where needed.
- The role will also involve assisting engineering with some operations / dev-ops tasks.
- This could involve things such as performing deployments, assisting with data migration or export or testing and re-creating known or anticipated issues.
Required experience:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in an engineering, technical operations, or technical support role
- 3+ years of experience as a lead in managing small or large team
- Excellent communication in English and Japanese (N2-3)
- Experience supporting mission critical fully redundant services with high uptime requirements.
- Strong experience working with REST API’s, SMPP 3.4/5.0, able to use tools such as curl or postman to construct ad hoc requests.
